Vicar’s Message

Dearly beloved in Christ,

“If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation: everything old has passed away; every-thing has become new” 2 Corinthians 5:17
God is always in the process of renewing His creation. If we observe nature, God renews the created world through different seasons. Summer days have passed, and autumn brings a new freshness and chill in the air. The temperature is dropping, and we see changes in nature. The trees’ leaves fall to survive the winter and grow new in the Spring. To become anew, we need to weaken the old self and put on a new self, which is created after the likeness of Jesus Christ himself. This is always painful, but painful experience gifts us a new being.
Sabha Prathinidhi Mandalam was held on September 13th,14th &15th in Thiruvalla. It is decided to elect four more Bishops in our Church and the proceedings have already started. Let us uphold the need of the Church into Gods hands so that divinely appointed persons may come into the higher office of the church.
The Diocesan Sevika Sanghom Conference is arranged to be held in Dallas this month. Our Metropolitan Thirumeni will attend the conference. Currently, Thirumeni is in the US and it is his first visit after being elevated as Metropolitan. The South West Regional Activity Committee has arranged a reception for Metropolitan on October 12th in Dallas. Let us hope and pray that his visit is an added blessing to the Diocese.
Our Parish Convention is going to happen the first week of this month. Dr. Thomas George is the main speaker. Unchanging faith in a changing world is the theme for this year. I do encourage everybody to attend the meeting in-person. However, considering the senior members who are not able to attend personally, live streaming will also be available.
We are almost close to the end of yet another financial year. I request all of you to remit all the amount due to the Parish at the earliest. I thank all of you for the prayerful support for all Parish activities.
May God bless all.

Yours in Christ,

Sam Achen
